This new stable release features support for mozilla 1.6 and numerous bug fixes.

Epiphany 1.0.6 requires Mozilla 1.4, 1.4.1, 1.5 or 1.6.

This gets to a larger point... Even though you think the sidebar is useless, many people don't. The two gnome gecko browsers deal with this conflict in different ways. While galeon sticks everything in and lets the user decide which ones he wants to use, the epiphany dev team completely ignores almost every feature request (eg no popup blocking until about 3 or 4 months ago). As a result, epiphany has become a fast, light weight, hig compliant and altogether useless piece of crap web browser. Speaking of which, it seems all this HIG nonsense is starting to make its way into Nautilus also...
