The X Developer's Meeting is now underway at the Cambridge Research Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Federico Mena-Quintero has put a nice write-up online of the first day of talks, the write-up is available here

I really hope that they don't just focus on backend stuff. Front end configuration, usability and consistency have been long negelected and are one of the really annoying things about xfree/xorg and really fdo-xserver. This is really just as important. Anyone every use exceed? reflectionX? even Xig? These are decent xservers but are really nice to use/setup/configure. That should be a big focus for xorg/fdo-xserver going forward.
