The X Developer's Meeting is now underway at the Cambridge Research Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Federico Mena-Quintero has put a nice write-up online of the first day of talks, the write-up is available here

Yes that's the one.

Hardware support is very limited right now, as it is just a test bed for the new X extensions and not meant for general consumption.

I think they may have actually added some hardware acceleration for radeon cards recently though.
