Gaim is an Instant Messaging, Multi Protocol, application written in GTK2+.

From the news page: "0.81 doesn't have too much in the way of new features, but we closed about 240 bugs since the last release."

due new to the WYSIWYG method of input. using protocols that don't support html formatting greys out the toolbar. i'm not sure about the smiley menu though
