Gaim: 0.81 Released

Gaim is an Instant Messaging, Multi Protocol, application written in GTK2+.

From the news page: "0.81 doesn't have too much in the way of new features, but we closed about 240 bugs since the last release."

IIRC there used to be GNOME dependencies before it was reduced to being Gtk2. However, why should Gaim be limited only to GNOME users? There are plenty of people who want a smaller, trimmed down system without all the Gnome libs, and the Gaim developers understand that and tailored their app to have a minimum of dependencies.

However, since the core has been split from the UI, someone could create a GNOME-based interface.
