The well known image viewer and browser, gThumb, had a new version today, 2.6.0. New features include but not limited to: Allow to CD burn the current catalog. Use the Gtk+ UI Manager to handle menus and toolbar. Use the Gtk+ FileChooser for saving and loading images or selecting folders. You can rate the application here.

I agree a toolbar rotate button would be a good adition.

(Just incase you were unaware of the fact, I'd like to point out) you can use keyboard shortcuts to rotate images very quickly.

IIRC, in the 2.4.* versions, '[', 'r' and ']' are the keys to play with.

There are many other keyboard shortcuts available. Check Help -> Keyboard Shortcuts for a full list.
