GNOME 2.8.1 Desktop and Developer Platform is released

The first point release of the stable 2.8.x series of GNOME has been
released. This release includes the latest bugfixes and other
improvements such as updated translations and is the first in a series
of point releases.

I don't know that it's the stupidest EVER, but yeah it's pretty lame. I much preferred the old method of actually organizing stuff. If I don't know the exact name of the applet I'm looking for, I'm spending 20 minutes reading the descriptions for each one. Categories was so much nicer.

As for that other browser, that got dumped for Firefox on my box around that other browser v1.2. I never loved it to begin with, but ever since 1.0 it's been circling the drain.
