GNOME 2.8.1 Desktop and Developer Platform is released

Gnome 2.x

The first point release of the stable 2.8.x series of GNOME has been
released. This release includes the latest bugfixes and other
improvements such as updated translations and is the first in a series
of point releases.

The was/is a bug in 2.6 which prevented some scripts from being shown in the menu. I hope that has been fixed.

The scripts have to be marked executable. I can get a few working, but Gnome will not parse them if they are put into directores.
