OSGEdit 0.6.0 "Orion" is out with improved interactivity

Bag of Software
Bag of Software

OSGEdit is an editor/composer of 3D scenes for use in realtime applications (games, simulation, engineering) through the OpenSceneGraph library. This new version has big improvements in the interactivity, by using auto-commit of changes instead of deferred application. Other changes include support for editing particle systems, visual arrangement of properties into tabs, sync with OpenSceneGraph 0.9.8, port to MacOSX, and lots of usability/bug fixes.

You can download the new version, see the screenshots and the complete release notes.

They are complementary

In fact I maintain also the blender exporter for OpenSceneGraph library. I use blender for modelling, and OSGEdit for composing the scenegraph with Switches, LOD's, and other OSG features.

Blender = modeler

On OSGEdit page they write this:
"OSGEdit is an editor of scenes for the library OpenSceneGraph. It's only a composer, not a modeller. You can use many programs to model your objects and then import them into OSGEdit to compose a complex OSG scene to use in your application."

It's not a modeler, it's an editor of scenes!

Cheers,
David
