Gaim 1.1.4 is available.
Turns out 1.1.3 wasn't perfect. A lot of you using GLib 2.6 hit a crash on startup. Also, we missed a potential security bug identical to one fixed for 1.1.3. So, after one week, we bring you 1.1.4. Enjoy.

Here's how you may solve your problem.

Tell your friends to use Skype. Problem solved. You can now do voice. You have traded one proprietary master for another, but at least the Skype developers provide a Linux binary that works very well.

Or you get a siphone adapter from siphone.com and tell your friends to use the sip functionality that is built into MSN.
