The latest version of Alexandria, a book collection manager for the GNOME desktop, has been released.

This release introduces amongst other things the possibility to generate XHTML Web pages (themable with CSS) from your libraries, book information retrieval from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, loaning support and a lot of bug fixes and usability/performances improvements!

this is probably related to the strange way debian packages ruby.
The thing that usually people call ruby (i.e. the stuff you get when you compile the sources from ruby-lang.org) is split in 24 packages IIRC.
