Luminocity OpenGL Videos

Seth Nickell has posted a few videos showing the Luminocity window manager doing some super Open GL hardware acceleration tricks. While Luminocity is not intended for serious use, it does an excellent job at demonstrating the possibilies of things to come. Seth also shows some screenshots of GTK+ themes rendering with Cairo enhancements.

Who cares?

So I'll have to wait for my windows to settle down before I know if they're place exactly where I want them. I'll have to get a higher resolution monitor because research (and personal experience) show that anti-aliased text is harder to read. I'll need more expensive hardware to run all this crap. The rest of you "wow that's neat" guys will get sick of it after a week, and we'll all have to live with the bloated gnome or switch to something else.
