Ubuntu Linux 5.04 "Hoary Hedgehog" is now available! New features worth noting are: GNOME 2.10.1, Simple and fast Installation, live CD's for Intel x86, AMD64 and PPC, Firefox 1.0.2, first class productivity software, and X.org 6.8.2. You can read the official announcement and the release notes.

password change

Easy.

system > Admin > user settings (when it asks for the password type the one you log in with) then just change your password to what you want. Peasy :)
