GNOME - Future ideas

GNOME
GNOME

I've created an article with mockups and ideas for things that I'd like to see GNOME 3.* doing in the future.
The article can be seen here, with more ideas and things available through my blog, such as the Scoop proposal, and a mockup of how to make drag and drop far easier with spatial nautilus.

Yes, let's get the basics

For example, one of the basics I would love to see is a 4 (FOUR) year old bug (!) that's still open - bug 47893.
It basically states that Nautilus doesn't give any information when about to replace one file with another.

The fact that using this with (a few adjectives deleted) spatial mode is an almost certain dataloss situation doesn't matter. But we have hackers working on tranparent windows for Nautilus, which are far more important. Yay.

And now everybody will say that if I don't like it, I can code it myself (of course), or I can switch (which is a great way to convince me I should and can tell people how great GNOME is).
And I have commented on bugzilla.
