Gnome Multimedia
Gnome Multimedia

Version 0.5 of CeeMedia have just been released, featuring many improvements and additions over the last version. CeeMedia is a program for cataloguing your movie-collection which tries to do everything you would want from such a program while being extremely easy to use.

An incomplete list of new features:

  • Media-info is now supported, you can add aspect-ratio, subtitles, languages, dvd-region, special features, pretty much everything
  • A new page for displaying cast and crew
  • Status-information is now supported, lend out, broken, lost, etc.
  • All internet-searches are now run from plugins.
  • Internet-searches now use the same window for displaying searches.
  • Internet-search-results are much prettier now (and more informative).
  • A new internet-searcher has been added: All Movie Guide.
  • Links in movie-description and comments are now supported and opens in the default browser for your environment (Gnome, KDE and $BROWSER-variable supported).
  • Drag and Drop adding of movie-covers added.
  • A new file-format is used for the collection resulting in smaller file-size and faster loading.
  • Polish translation added (thanks to Wit Wiliński)

From a programmers viewpoint this release is much improved and should result in faster, stabler operation.

great work!

It's great seeing pygtk apps like this being announced on footnotes.
Keep the good work going!

And I also have a feeling that pygtk-programs are a bit looked down upon...
