Evolution compiles on Windows

Evolution
Evolution

Novell has managed to compile Evolution for the Windows platform. The build is currently extremely unstable though, with Novell senior software engineer Tor Lillqvist stating: "You cannot run Evolution on Windows yet ... there isn't anything for end-users to beta-test yet." Lillqvist stated he can start serious debugging work from this point.

Update: Here is a screenshot and here.

Are you implying that Evolution for Linux is somehow stable ?

Ever since I started using Evolution (version 2.2.3) in addition to my usuall PIM client (Kontact), there hasn't been a day that it didn't crash at least twice (not that Kontact doesn't, but it keeps up for longer periods and under worse abuse as my main PIM app).

I'm not particularly happy with the stableness of most major linux desktop components, and as a lot of KDE/Qt apps got stabler as they were ported over to Windows (some bugs are easier to reproduce on another platform), I hope Evolution would get the same benefits.
