Overview of Changes in Rhythmbox 0.9.0

The changes are too numerous to list here, but the main focuses have been on stability and memory usage. So your Rhythmbox should be even more stable, and less resource hungry.

Rhythmbox has moved its development tree back to GNOME's CVS servers, which means it's easier to get a hold of it for people who want to live on the cutting-edge. It also means that development has picked up again (the last release was nearly 10 months ago), and that new features will be coming thick and fast!

On the subject of crashing:

On the subject of crashing: I may be using a somewhat different setup (Opterons -> 64 bit environment), but RB manages to crash for me about once every hour. Also, when staring up, it 'refreshes songs' which with my 8500+ collection (all legit, btw) causes RB to hang about 50% of the time.

Not exactly sterling performance...

Tagging? I haven't seen it work at all (and I tried). The fields are not editable.

I still use RB though. Guess I'm just a sucker for punishment.
