Freerock GNOME 2.12.1 for Slackware Linux 10.2 has been released. The ChangeLog can be perused here.

ISOs for x86 platforms can be found here.

Packages for x86 platforms can be retrieved from any one of the mirrors.

Additionally, the x86_64 (64-bit) port of FRG can be found on the ports page.

What is the best Gnome for Slackware

I use now Dropline, but give Freerock a try this weekend. Maybe Dropline does have more users/support for finding/fixing bugs?

Don't know for sure, even for limitations in Gnome without PAM.
