Freerock GNOME 2.12.1 for Slackware Linux 10.2 has been released. The ChangeLog can be perused here.

ISOs for x86 platforms can be found here.

How exactly is Freerock crippled?

I'd like to know how Freerock cripples your system, since it seems to be running just dandy on mine. A policy of replacing nothing/very little by default as far as system files go seems pretty much like it should be to me. If you want PAM and all that other junk, go use a distro that has it built in (I suggest Ubuntu...it really is a nice piece of work)
