there are absolutely no

there are absolutely no legal issues with CLR. its a completely open standard, and anyone is free ot implement it. there only murky issues with ASP.NET and Windows.Forms i believe.

CLR is a brilliant way to give a multitude of language bindings for gnome, just check out http://www.dotnetpowered.com/languages.aspx and compare how much work would it be to implement CLR or write bidnings for each one of those langauges.

I love working using pure functional techniques in nemerle and sml and still being able to use the crapload of apis thats work with mono.
