Vive La Desktop Difference!

GNOME
GNOME

Matthew Newton of PCWorld writes: So, KDE or Gnome? Not a stupid question--but in my mind, kind of a silly one. Car/computer analogies always hold up well, so let's try one here: If you, dear reader, wrote in asking whether I think you should drive a Mini Cooper or a Hummer, how should I respond? My best bet is to offer no opinion. I know nothing of your preferences or your needs. Either vehicle will get you where you want to go. The difference will be in the experience of getting there. Liberate Linux from computer scientist !!!!

Open a "Community of Linux not Computer Scientist End-Users" !!!
Yesterday I try to change the resolution of the screen under Debian Gnome ... Impossible to do ...
Or in a XP or Mac OSX , it's done in 2 minutes.
I want also to install FireFox for Linux, I click download on the mozilla.org site, and I download a tar.gz ... what can I deal with ?
On XP or OSX you download a setup program and you don't care about the rest. "I want only to install FireFox" like Metallica said "Nothing else matters".

You think I'm stupid, perphaps but I'm graduate in computer sciences LOL !! With 6 years of team management and hard coding C ANSI and Java, Graph and Compiler Theory, Parallel algoritm, SmartCard implementation, executable UML, MDA, etc. I use all Open Source technos as Eclipse-WTP, MySQL, BugZilla, TestRunner, Open Worbench, Apache Tomcat, Maven, Jonas, OpenOffice, FireFox, SunBird, CVS, Subversion, etc...
So, I would like to have also a free OS right ?
And I lose a lots of white night to try to install or configure on Linux. I want to do something else with my time, see friends, drink beer, see movies, theater, play the guitar, ...

Monday, I need to buy 8 PCs for my team, and the Target Server is RedHat on HP-UX.
Yesterday I lose one day to configure the Linux Debian for the prototype.
So I don't what to lose my time, I will install XP OS on each PC for developpers. Bill Gates will be glad :)
