Gaim Beta 3 released

GNOME IM
GNOME IM

Great day in the park, we've released Gaim 2.0.0 beta 3. You know the drill--you can find assorted builds on our sourceforge page. We'd like to note that none of the beta 3 RPMs include a Gadu-Gadu protocol plugin. So if you need Gadu-Gadu then you should stick with beta 2. And as my pappy always used to say: don't hitch your wagon to a stump if it has eyes. We never did know what he was talking about.

when someone tries to send

when someone tries to send me a directory and i have so say, "sorry, i use linux"

Which, of course, is completely inacurate. The correct sentence is : "sorry, I use GAIM".
Linux has nothing to do with the fact that Gaim does not support sending directories.
But I know that's people like you that give FOSS a bad name.

try explaining to someone why they need to learn how to make a zip file and send it to you. loads of fun

Even though it's pretty easy : "my AIM software can't receive directories, only files, so you can send files to me one by one, or pack them together and send me only one file : your choice". Man that was hard. It's defintely people like you that give FOSS a bad name.
These kind of workarounds are legions on Windows, and people deal with it. But by some magical law, they can't work it around when on Linux.
