Pan! It's Alive!

Pan Newsreader
Pan Newsreader

The Pan newsreader project is active again making new releases. The 0.9x releases are a series of unstable betas of a C++ rewrite of Pan that adds multiserver and nzb support, reduces memory use by over two thirds, can cut the time to download new headers by over two thirds, and slashes the time it takes to load headers from disk by almost 90%. About time. by Anonymous George (not verified)

My favorite Newsgroup reader is back from the dead!

I can't think you enough for bringing life back into this project!

Excellent! Now waiting till it becomes stable

The reduced memory usage and loading times are excellent news! Just a pity it is still so unstable, I had it crashed within three minutes of use.

where is it hosted ?

cvs.gnome.org seems outdated, where is the development version hosted ?

I only miss one thing from PAN: attach files to a message. With Mozilla news it's pretty easy.

Christmas Has Come Early!

This is the best news I have read on Footnotes in ... well, ever! Kudos to everyone involved in bringing this excellent newsreader back in to life!

Wow!

Just wanted to congratulate the Pan team for those fantastic improvements!

You rock!
