I really question the HIG!

I really question the HIG! Or should I say the future development of the HIG!?

HIG 2.0 is pretty good, but that is mostly because of the many SUN and Apple elements that have been adopted.

Now critical bugs submitted to the HIG are not even reviewed. Ex.

[Bug 336363] New: No border for primary windows
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=336363

A bug like that should be fixed right away!

More over, when following how decissions are made on how the Ui shoudl be, it is just a few guys (sometimes just one guy) that desides how it should be, and that's it!

HIG 2.0 is okay, but future versions are simply a question of taste from one of few people.

Thats not really a problem.

Its hardly a critical bug...The HIG says borders should have a 12pixel border, doesn't mention the border on primary windows, probably because as the bug points out, there shouldn't be a border. Main windows are not dialog windows. The HIG explains the difference.

The bug was only opened a month ago, and I imagine that the severity of it should not be major.
