Red Carpet 1.2.99 Preview

A -PREVIEW RELEASE- of Red Carpet is now available in the Ximian Preview
channel for Red Hat 7.1, 7.2, and Mandrake 8.1. This new release
features a completely rewritten dependency layer which will result in
generally faster and more correct solutions. In addition, this version
has a number of nice bug fixes and preliminary RPM 4.0.4 support.

Please please please note that this is not a stable release of Red
Carpet and you should not use it on any production machines, as flames
are likely to come shooting out of your keyboard at any minute. The
brave and flame-retardant among you are encouraged to try it out and
file any bugs in bugzilla.

If you come across any genuine dependency errors, you can try our new
dependency feedback feature which will email information about your
system's package database and the requested transaction to us so we can
debug it and add it to our test suite.

If all goes well, Red Carpet 1.3 will be released shortly.
