File Permissions in Nautilus

Nautilus
Nautilus

Alexander Larsson recently committed his work on the permissions page in Nautilus. He writes: I just commited a rework of the permissions page in the file property dialog. It has a simplified UI (and an advanced/unixy version availible via a gconf setting) and support for recursive permission changes.

RE:ACLs

I have seen screen shots wiht an extra "ACL" tab.
This really needs to be integrated to the permissions settings.
Ordinary users wouldn't know waht ACL stand for, even though they would be perfectly capable of using them. In fact I would think that the concepts of ACLs will be easier to grasp for non Unix people, than how to play around with unix groups to get it right.
