Alex Graveley has announced the first release of Gimmee.
The network access is too poor and the distractions too much fun here at GUADEC to write a proper release note just yet, but I wanted to let everyone know that the first Gimmie tarball is up.

This looks neat but takes more vertical space. I'm still waiting for someone to figure out how to put all that stuff down the side of the screen in a way that doesn't suck. Many of these little "panels" could be run vertically since there is no text other than the headers. That would be great for wide screens where there's plenty of space off to the side. Or can these simply be dragged over to the side? If so, lets get a screenshot of that.
