Lightbird is an attempt to create a simple IM service for LANs(client and server).
It started as an ICQ Groupware clone.

It requires mono,gtk# 2.8 and SDL for sounds.

Had a lot of trouble installing this.. had to install development files of gtk, sdl and sdl-mixer (was looking for .so instead of .so.0). I also had to install system.windows.forms -pfft.

Once that was all done it ran beautifully. Nice app! seems to fill the job description...

Hi Twigman. Thanks for comments and feedback. We're really appreciating.
We have to write documentation for next versions.
At this moment I don't know why is necessary install development packages but surely we're going to investigate.
In next release we'll trying to not use system.windows.forms.dll in Linux too.

Oh, I should have mentioned. The version of linux I am using is ubuntu edgy. Keep up the good work :)
