New release of Tracker (fomerly known as Meta Tracker)
Tracker is a tool designed to extract information and metadata about your personal data so that it can be searched easily and quickly.

Several BUGS FIXES, faster and unobtrusive in daily use due to the better scheduler.
This is a really big jump from the previous release.

Why not 2.18

I can only speculate because I wasn't a part of the decision making process. However, it's the right decision. Tracker isn't easy to use yet (better GUI tools needed) and it has a few warts that need to be smoothed over (like finding exact matches).

If development continues at current pace, however, we'll certainly see it in 2.20. It's really an impressive project.
