Single Click behavior

This is my single biggest annoyance with Gnome.

Not only is single click completely absent from GTK dialogs, but it's also very badly implemented in Nautilus (there is no mouseover selection in Nautilus).

The bug was reported 4 years ago and a patch was even submitted, but nothing's been done with it.

Any attempts to get serious oversights like this fixed, just tend to fall on deaf ears.
