No clue?

What is the first sentence supposed to mean, "The first major update of GNOME, version 2.20, has arrived almost two and a half years after GNOME 2.10, its last big step forward."?

That's completely wrong.

Re: No clue?

I suppose the guy believes there are three releases of gnome 2 so far: 2.0, 2.10 and 2.20 and that all other releases are just minor version updates. But whatever his motivations for this view, it's clearly wrong.

In any case, the article is also quite pointless. It's just a shortened rewrite of the release notes, I really don't know why the author dares call it "review", because there is no review in that article. He doesn't even say that he tried some new feature and whether or not it works for him. There would have been more information in the article if it simply had read "Gnome 2.20 has been released and the release notes are here (link to release notes)". But there is not even a link to the release notes...

Pointless

I totally agree with you on the pointlessness. If this was slashdot, I'd curse the editor for wasting a minute of my life.

Yeah but

I agree that this is what he wrote, but it's utter crap. (I phrased my post poorly).
