Software that 'just works'

"He chose to paint the situation that exists between GNOME and KDE as a picture of glorious harmony - but then one can only ask questions. One can't dictate answers." So, what do you do when you're given a set of unprofessional and highly combative interview questions? You dodge the bullets and tell the truth! :-) Here's an interview I did with a local newspaper last week. Harsh!

Re: Varghese / Gordon irritating

this sort of binary, zero-sum attitude to Free Software should not be publicised.

It's interesting you should say that... what kind of control does Varghese have over the content of his website? If it's his site, he can say what he wants. If it isn't, he can say whatever the operators allow him to put. It's up to us to read what we want and interpret it how we wish. I think most people here have the right idea. There's always going to be a bias, regardless how straight the questions are. By the tone of the articles, it looks like this particular bias took control. It doesn't really affect my opinions about both desktops, I just choose the one I like better (barring any serious political issues) as opposed to the one whose organizer/maintainer makes the best (or worst) interview :).
