Bounties for new features to be added to Planner are being offered by Intouch.
Requested features are:
1) Ability to produce variance reports
2) Ability to filter projects by resource
3) Ability to link projects via a milestone
4) Automatic email to resources when a part of their schedule has been changed

After some months of work a new version of Planner (0.12) has been released. Undo support and a new view for viewing resource usage are the new killer features, along with HTML export and lots of bugs fixes. Check the official release notes.

Planner is the project management application formerly known as
MrProject. There will be more information about Planner shortly on the
website at http://planner.imendio.org/, which we are working on getting
up and running.

API documentation for libmrproject
Python bindings for libmrproject
PostgreSQL backend
And as usual, lots of small bugs have been squashed
Updated translations

The MrProject team is proud to present MrProject 0.8 release of MrProject.
MrProject is a project management application under development, that
will help build project plans and track the progress of a project.
The development of MrProject is led by CodeFactory as a free software
project, and all code is licensed under the GNU General Public License.

The MrProject team is proud to present the first stable GNOME 2
release of MrProject. Since we rewrote everything from scratch earlier
this year we didn't care to put back half finished useless parts
yet. These parts are listed under Regressions below.

This is mostly a bug fix release of MrProject. Other than bug fixes,
this release also contains the beginnings of a resource dialog and
basic task cost calculations.

This release of MrProject have support for scheduling with regards to
weekends/non working hours. Currently this is hard coded to five days
working weeks with each day being 8 hours of work. We will later add
support for creating custom calendars. It also have had some nice
sexiness added to it with 3d-looking Gantt bars. Together with this
several minor UI issues have been fixed.

This is the third GNOME 2 based MrProject release and we are proud to
announce that we now have custom properties for tasks included. We also
took the liberty of including a new view, the Task View which is a tree
view of all of the tasks without the Gantt chart at the side. This view
gives you a better view of the different data fields of a task.
This is NOT a stable release of MrProject, and those of you that are
using MrProject should not switch over to this version yet.

Yay! MrProject is now based on the GNOME 2 platform. This is the first
pre-release for GNOME 2.0 and we took the liberty of rewriting the
entire code base. The result, a faster, slicker, meaner and better
MrProject.

This is the last version for GNOME 1 we will release. We are currently working hard on the GNOME 2 version. This is only a minor release with very few changes.

The latest version of MrProject is out featuring bug fixes and updated translations. MrProject is a project management application that is part of the Gnome Office family. This application is really starting to show promise, give it try!
